On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned call records and data recovered from phones logged Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - when she was three years old during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered missing child cases and continues to be open.

'I Don't Want Money'

A separate voicemail, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt saying: "I understand I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine had been, but I believe what I know."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am Madeleine? Then what? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I don't want money, I maintain a life here in Poland, I only wish to discover," she added.

The tribunal was informed that by means of emails, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt asked for a DNA test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a childhood with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, based on the call data.

On October 9th, 2024, Gerry McCann answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

During that incident Ms Wandelt recorded a message on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court learned the co-defendant struck up a association online with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a visit to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in last December.

Phone records revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out through communication app to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the months preceding the appearance to the village, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court heard correspondence between the two accused, in last November, planning trying to acquire Mrs McCann's genetic material from her trash or from utensils at a dining venue.

"We have to take action," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their house, Mrs Spragg sent a text which stated: "We find ourselves sitting near the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark like detectives. I had hoped to achieve this with another person I never thought I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The proceedings ongoing.
